Mission
Mission
- Provide intergenerational support , for the Grandparents/Kinship Tutors and their Minors.
- Establish healthy relationships with the community, Intergenerational Services from the County, The System of Care, County Representatives, Housing Commission.
- Be able to express our needs and find the resources.
- We are also focused in finding happy normal family activities, for the grand families to experience and enjoy.
- We meet once a month , and have presentations from the different service providers that meet the Grand Families needs.
- Children are offered Arts And Crafts, Computer Time and supervised homework while the adults meet.
At present time we have groups in English and Spanish, meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 4 to 5.30 in Spanish and the 3 rd Tuesday of each month in English at Mountain View /Beckwourth Library Branch .721 San Pasqual St, San Diego Ca 92113

For 2 years on a row now, we have been able to adopt a family in need for the holidays, through private donations.
we intend to continue the tradition.

There are 24,000 plus Grand families in San Diego, and growing.
The support groups offer:
- A safe space to be able to share your circumstances with others like you.
- Get feedback and guidance from those who had already navigated the system and can share their stories and suggestions from a savy point of view.
- Pose questions and get answers.
- A one stop place where you can learn about the alternatives and choices you have from the System of Care and the Community in general, listening to presenters from programs that can benefit you and your minors.
- All groups facilitated by grandparents like you, who have been or are in a position like you.
- As a group of groups have our voices heard and achieve our goals.
- Just come and meet other families in your circumstances.
- Children are welcomed.
All services can be rendered either in English or Spanish.
